A credit is due.
Check the bill.

Find the credit approval, match it to the right account and ask billing why it has not appeared on the expected invoice.

The short answer

Compare the written credit approval with later invoices. Check its amount, account, conditions and expected application. Send the approval reference and invoice number to billing, ask for a reconciliation and verify the corrected balance or refund.

Read the approval for conditions and timing.

Locate the message or credit note that states the amount and reason. Record the account, currency, reference and expected application. Check whether the approval was final or still subject to review.

Compare the amount with later invoices and any account balance. A credit may be recorded separately from the invoice PDF. If you have several accounts with the vendor, check which one received it.

Ask which invoice used the credit.

Build a short list of invoices after the approval and any adjustments already visible. Avoid assuming the credit is missing just because the latest payment equals an earlier amount; the underlying bill may have changed.

Ask billing to identify the credit’s current status, remaining balance and invoice applications. If a credit was consumed by another charge, request the matching details so your bookkeeping process can reconcile it.

Include the reference that billing can search.

Reply to the original approval when possible. Attach the relevant invoice and name the correction you expect. If billing needs a different team, ask for the case to be routed with the existing record.

On [date], you approved a credit of [amount] for account [account], reference [reference]. I cannot identify it on invoices [numbers]. Please confirm where it was applied, any remaining credit balance and when the account will show the correction.

Check the account instead of the ticket status.

A closed support case does not establish that the credit reached the bill. Compare the corrected invoice, credit note, balance or refund reference with the original approval. Confirm that it was not applied twice.

If the business will not buy from the vendor again, ask what options are available under the agreement. Do not assume an account credit can always be converted to cash. Record the actual agreed and verified outcome.

01

We find the charge.

Huck finds renewals, price increases, duplicate payments and refunds owed in your Gmail, with a dollar figure on each finding.

02

You decide.

Review the proposed change. Cancellations, downgrades and refund requests need your yes each time.

03

We do the chasing.

Huck cancels, requests the refund or works the vendor’s chat, then follows up until the request is settled. Huck checks your bill for the lower charge, credit or refund and texts you the result.

A few things
before you act.

Is an approved credit already a saving?

Keep it pending until the relevant account, invoice or payment record shows the result.

Should I request a refund and a credit?

Ask for one clear resolution for the amount owed. Avoid duplicate requests that could produce a reconciliation problem.

Can Huck chase a missing credit?

Huck’s confirmed scope includes finding refunds and credits owed, requesting approved fixes and checking later evidence. The available action depends on the account.
