You canceled.
Another charge arrived.

The short answer

Check which account and service period the new charge covers. Compare it with the cancellation confirmation and final-payment terms. If it does not match, send both records to the billing provider and request a specific explanation, correction or eligible refund.

Find what the new charge actually pays for.

Open the new invoice and the cancellation confirmation together. Record the account, product, amount and service period. Compare the request date with the effective cancellation date and any final amount described in the confirmation.

Check for another active plan, add-on, app-store purchase or second business account. A charge from the same brand can belong to a subscription the earlier cancellation did not include.

Describe the mismatch rather than assuming its cause.

Send the invoice and cancellation reference to the company that handles billing. Ask which agreement covers the charge. If the service period is after the confirmed end date, identify that difference explicitly.

Keep payment credentials out of ordinary support email. A transaction date, invoice number and masked payment reference are usually more useful starting points than a full card number.

I canceled [plan/account] on [date], effective [date], confirmation [reference]. A charge of [amount] dated [date] covers [period]. Please explain how this matches the cancellation and review a correction or refund if the charge was made in error.

Ask what happens next and when to check.

If billing says the charge is valid, request the relevant invoice period and term so you can compare them with the confirmation. If billing agrees to a correction, ask for the amount, form of correction and expected processing information.

Record a refund and an account credit separately. A promise to refund is still pending until your business’s records show it. Reply on the existing thread if the reported outcome does not appear.

Confirm the subscription status as well as the refund.

A refund for one charge may leave renewal enabled. Check the current subscription state, remaining add-ons and end date. Keep a record of both the billing correction and the cancellation.

When the later bill or statement reflects the result, update your spend tracker and reconcile it through the normal bookkeeping process. If the issue remains unresolved, keep the record and ask the provider for its next review route.

We find the charge.

Huck finds renewals, price increases, duplicate payments and refunds owed in your Gmail, with a dollar figure on each finding.

02

You decide.

Review the proposed change. Cancellations, downgrades and refund requests need your yes each time.

03

We do the chasing.

Huck cancels, requests the refund or works the vendor’s chat, then follows up until the request is settled. Huck checks your bill for the lower charge, credit or refund and texts you the result.

A few things
before you act.

Does a later charge always qualify for a refund?

No. It can be a final payment, a different plan or a charge for a period before cancellation. Match the evidence first.

What if I canceled in an app store?

Use the billing route and confirmation from the provider that sold the subscription. The software company and payment provider may be different.

Should I send several refund requests?

Keep one clear record and follow up on it. Multiple conflicting requests can make it harder to see what has been resolved.
