A finding is a start.
A bill is the proof.
Use a consistent evidence trail to separate potential savings, approved actions, vendor confirmations and results shown on a bill or statement.
Connect Gmail to get started. You approve each money action.
Verify a saving against a later bill, statement or deposit for the same account, service and comparable period. Record quantity, scope, fees and taxes. Keep potential savings, recurring reductions, credits applied and cash refunds separate, and count each economic benefit once.

Name the stage before naming the amount.
This is Huck’s editorial measurement method, not a published customer result. No verified customer savings figures are available under this method yet.
| Stage | Required record | How to report it |
|---|---|---|
| Potential finding | Source invoice or notice, account, period and calculation | Potential amount only. Exclude from verified totals. |
| Approved action | Owner’s approval tied to the specific proposed action | Approved, not completed or saved. |
| Vendor confirmed | Cancellation confirmation, amended price or credit promise | Confirmed, pending the relevant bill or settlement. |
| Verified recurring reduction | Comparable later bill showing the lower like-for-like charge | Observed reduction for that billed period, after attributable fees. |
| Credit applied | Statement showing the credit consumed against a charge | Applied credit; separate from cash refunded. |
| Cash refund received | Matching settled deposit or statement credit | Refund received; exclude duplicate credit entries. |
Compare the same thing, over the same period.
For an observed recurring reduction, subtract the later comparable charge from the documented baseline charge, then subtract attributable cancellation, implementation or action fees for the measured period. Keep currency, seat count, product scope and tax treatment consistent. Record missing evidence as pending.
If usage or seat count changed, distinguish right-sizing from a negotiated like-for-like price reduction. Keep one-time charges separate from recurring charges. A forecast for the next twelve months is a projection, even after one lower bill arrives.
Do not double-count a vendor credit and the refund that settles that same credit. A canceled renewal is a confirmed action; label the avoided charge as unverified until the relevant billing evidence supports it. An absence of an email alone is insufficient.
A small example, clearly labeled.
Illustrative only: a like-for-like monthly bill falls from $100 to $80, with no new fees and unchanged tax treatment. The next comparable paid bill verifies a $20 reduction for that month. It does not prove $240 of savings has already happened.
A separate $40 credit promise remains pending. If $25 later appears as a credit applied to a bill, report $25 applied and $15 pending. Do not also call the full $40 cash recovered.
Publish the denominator and the limits.
Before publishing customer results, verify the source records, period, baseline, costs and attribution; obtain written permission for the amount and attribution. For aggregates, state eligible accounts, observation window, exclusions, missing evidence and whether the measure is gross or net.
Keep customer documents private. Publish only reviewed, permissioned or properly aggregated evidence. Reconcile corrections and reversals back to the original ledger item.
We find the money.
We do the chasing.
Huck finds the money slipping out of your business, shows you what each charge is worth, and does the chasing when you say so. Cancellations, refund requests and vendor negotiations follow through to a result you can check.
Connect Gmail. No bank login. Anything that moves money always asks.
See how Huck handles bills and renewals ↗We find the charge.
Huck finds renewals, price increases, duplicate payments and refunds owed in your Gmail, with a dollar figure on each finding.
You decide.
Review the proposed change. Cancellations, downgrades and refund requests need your yes each time.
We do the chasing.
Huck cancels, requests the refund or works the vendor’s chat, then follows up until the request is settled. Huck checks your bill for the lower charge, credit or refund and texts you the result.
A few things
before you act.
Can I multiply one lower monthly bill by twelve?
You can label that arithmetic an annualized projection if the assumptions are shown. Only observed periods belong in the realized total.
Does a vendor promise count as verified savings?
No. Keep it pending until the relevant bill, statement or settled deposit supports the result.
