How do I cancel
Airtable?

Airtable bills per workspace, renews automatically, and only stops when an owner downgrades each paid workspace to Free; removing the card doesn’t cancel it. Huck finds your Airtable receipts in Gmail, tells you which workspaces bill and when they renew, and cancels when you say yes.

The short answer

To cancel Airtable, a workspace Owner opens the Airtable account page, selects the paid workspace under Workspace settings, clicks Change or cancel plan (shown as Change plan, then Choose free, in some accounts), reviews the changes and clicks Continue cancellation. That moves a Team workspace to the Free plan at the end of the current billing cycle, and you keep Team features until then. Airtable bills per workspace, so repeat it for every paid workspace; removing the payment method alone doesn’t cancel a plan. A self-serve Business plan is downgraded from the admin panel under Billing, which also permanently deletes the organization, and sales-led Business or Enterprise Scale plans go through your Airtable sales contact. Airtable’s terms say fees for the current term aren’t refunded, and deleting your account is a separate step after downgrading.

An Owner downgrades each paid workspace to Free.

Airtable’s help center says you cancel a paid plan by downgrading the workspace to the Free plan, and you keep your Airtable account. Owner permissions are needed to change a workspace plan, and you can’t do it in the iOS or Android app: use a web browser, including a mobile browser.

  1. Open your Airtable account page. Go to airtable.com/account in a browser.
  2. Under Workspace settings, select the paid workspace. Its plan shows under Workspace plan.
  3. Click Change or cancel plan. In some accounts the button reads Change plan, followed by Choose free.
  4. Review the changes and click Continue cancellation. Answer the feedback survey if it appears.
  5. Check the scheduled downgrade date. The Workspace plan section shows your current plan and the date it moves to Free. Repeat for every paid workspace.

Business plans downgrade in the admin panel and delete the organization.

On a self-serve Business plan, an admin opens the admin panel, clicks Billing, opens the three-dot menu under Plan details and selects Downgrade, checks every acknowledgment, clicks Acknowledge changes and types the organization name to confirm Delete organization. All workspaces move to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle. Airtable says this permanently deletes the organization and its settings and can’t be undone.

Sales-led Business and Enterprise Scale plans can’t be downgraded in the app: contact your Airtable sales contact.

Airtable refunds mistakes, not unused time.

Airtable’s Terms of Service say that if you cancel, you keep access to the end of the current term and get no refund of fees already paid for it, unless the law requires one. Customers in the European Union or Turkey can get a refund if they cancel within 14 days of purchase.

Airtable Support gives a courtesy refund for an accidental upgrade or an accidentally added billable collaborator if you contact it within 7 days of the invoice on a monthly plan, or 14 days on an annual plan. Downgrade or remove the collaborator first, then ask through Get help with your workspace ID and the last 4 digits of the card. Refunds take 5 to 10 business days to reach your bank.

Deleting the account comes after the downgrade.

Deleting your Airtable account does not stop workspace billing on its own. Airtable says to remove the payment method from each paid workspace, transfer ownership of any workspace where you are the only Owner, then delete. Workspaces and bases shared with others are not deleted with your account.

  1. Downgrade every paid workspace and remove its payment method. Workspace settings, Payment details, Remove.
  2. Transfer ownership where you are the only Owner. Collaborators keep their bases.
  3. Open your account overview and click Delete your Airtable user account. Then Yes, confirm deletion of my account. The iOS app works too; the Android app can’t delete accounts.

Your data stays, but the limits shrink.

Moving to Free doesn’t delete bases, tables, records or views. But Free allows 1,000 records per base, 1,000 API calls per workspace a month, 1 GB of attachments per base and 100 automation runs a month. A base over a limit can’t take new records or attachments, including from forms and the API, until it is back under.

Revision and snapshot history drops to 2 weeks, and snapshots older than that are removed and can’t be recovered even if you upgrade later. A declined payment also moves a workspace to Free automatically.

Airtable: what happens when you downgrade ↗

Huck finds every paid workspace and cancels on your yes.

Huck finds Airtable receipts in your Gmail and texts you which workspaces bill, how many editors you pay for and when each renews, so a forgotten workspace doesn’t renew for another month or year.

With your yes, Huck downgrades each workspace to Free or removes editors while you handle the sign-in, then checks your next statements for a charge that shouldn’t be there. Airtable decides any refund; Huck does not promise one.
