RingCentral’s early termination fee.
Time your exit to avoid it.
RingCentral doesn’t publish a flat fee. Its terms make you pay what’s left of your term. Huck finds your RingCentral order and invoices in Gmail, works out the term end and notice deadline, and sends the written notice when you say yes.
Connect Gmail to get started. You approve each money action.
RingCentral’s terms don’t set a fixed early termination fee. If you end service before your term is up, for any reason other than RingCentral’s own material breach, you must pay within 30 days everything already owed plus all charges for the rest of the current term, with taxes and fees. To avoid it, don’t cancel mid-term: send written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before your term ends, port your numbers out, then have the account admin cancel by phone or chat.

Give notice, port your numbers, then cancel.
RingCentral’s Online Terms of Service, last updated August 4, 2025, say your service renews automatically for another term of the same length unless either side gives notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the term ends. Ending at the term’s end is how you avoid paying for months you won’t use.
- Find your term end date. Check your Order or order confirmation email for the start date and the initial term. Renewal terms run the same length.
- Send written notice of non-renewal 30+ days before it. The terms say notices must be in writing, addressed to RingCentral, Inc., Legal Dept., 20 Davis Drive, Belmont, CA 94002, with a copy to legal@ringcentral.com. They count a notice as given when delivered in person, on delivered email, or five days after it goes by overnight courier. To be safe, send it both ways and keep proof of delivery.
- Port your numbers out first. Ask your new phone provider to move your numbers before RingCentral cancels the account. RingCentral says unported numbers may be released.
- Back up your data. Download your extension list, phone menu settings, call recordings, voicemails and messages. Ask each user to save their own.
- Have the admin call or chat to cancel. RingCentral says only the company admin or account owner can cancel, and asks for the main company number, the security question answer and the last 4 digits of the card on file.
RingCentral disables the account for 30 days before it is cancelled. Call support during that time if you need to reactivate.
RingCentral Online Terms of Service, sections 2E and 14C ↗Cancel mid-term and you pay the rest of the term.
RingCentral’s terms don’t name a dollar amount. They say that if the agreement or any service is terminated for any reason other than RingCentral’s material breach, you must pay, within 30 days, everything that had built up before termination plus all sums remaining unpaid for the rest of the then-current term, plus related taxes and fees.
So the cost of leaving early is roughly your recurring monthly charges times the months left in your term, with taxes and fees on top. Check the exact terms in your Order before you decide. Recurring charges include digital lines, licenses, minute bundles and equipment rental.
RingCentral Online Terms of Service, section 6B ↗If RingCentral breaches the agreement, the rest of the term is off.
The terms let either side end the agreement with written notice if the other breaches a material term and doesn’t fix it within 30 days of that notice. If you end it for RingCentral’s material breach, you owe nothing for the period after termination except usage before disconnection, and RingCentral refunds prepaid, unused fees pro rata.
Whether a service problem counts as a material breach is a legal question. Keep dated records of the problem and your notices, and get advice before relying on it.
RingCentral Online Terms of Service, sections 6A and 6B ↗Cancelling disconnects your numbers and deletes your data.
RingCentral says cancelling disconnects your RingCentral phone numbers, deletes call logs, messages and contacts stored in the account, removes access to all RingCentral apps, and removes your settings, including call forwarding and answering rules, voicemail greetings and the extension list.
Its numbering policy says numbers not already ported to another provider may be released when the account is cancelled, and that moving them out before cancelling is your job. Losing your main business number is often the costliest part of leaving.
RingCentral Numbering Policy, release of numbers ↗Watch the renewal notice and dispute errors within 30 days.
RingCentral’s terms say it will give notice of any increase in recurring charges no later than 30 days before your term ends, and the increase starts with the next renewal term. That notice is your cue to decide whether to renew.
To dispute a charge, the terms say you must give RingCentral written notice within 30 days of the invoice date, with the reason and the amount. You still pay the undisputed part. Overpayments come back as billing credits.

Huck tracks the deadline and sends the notice.
Huck finds your RingCentral order confirmation and invoices in Gmail, works out when your term ends and when the 30-day notice window closes, and texts you before it does.
When you say yes, Huck emails the written non-renewal notice to legal@ringcentral.com and keeps the reply. Huck doesn’t send post or couriers, so if you want the courier copy to the Legal Dept. address as well, you send it, early enough to arrive five days before the deadline. You also handle porting your numbers and the admin call or chat RingCentral asks for, since it needs your security details. Huck then checks the last invoice for charges past the term end. Huck doesn’t give legal advice and can’t promise RingCentral will waive anything.
