Cancel Wix.
Then cancel the domain and email too.

Wix bills the site plan, the domain and Google Workspace email as separate subscriptions, and cancelling the plan stops only the first. Huck finds each Wix charge in your Gmail, tells you what renews next, and cancels what you no longer need when you say yes.

The short answer

To cancel Wix, go to Premium Subscriptions in your Wix account, click the More Actions icon next to the plan, click Cancel Plan and confirm with Cancel Now. Within 14 days of first buying a Premium or Studio plan, monthly or yearly, the plan ends at once and Wix refunds it in full. After 14 days, cancelling only turns off auto-renewal, the plan runs to its expiration date, and renewals get no refund. Yearly plans can be charged up to 3 weeks before they expire, so cancel before the payment date shown under Upcoming payment. Domains and business email are not covered by the 14-day refund and keep renewing until you cancel each one.

Cancel the plan from Premium Subscriptions.

Wix uses the same steps to cancel a plan and to turn off its auto-renewal. What happens next depends on timing. Inside the 14-day refund period for a first-time purchase, the plan ends at once and you get a full refund. After it, the plan stays active until its expiration date and then does not renew. You can turn auto-renewal back on any time before that date.

  1. Check the payment and expiration dates. Go to Premium Subscriptions in your Wix account and look under Upcoming payment. Wix sends reminder emails starting 30 days before a payment.
  2. Click the More Actions icon next to the plan. Each plan, domain and business email has its own row.
  3. Click Cancel Plan. Wix’s help page suggests switching to a monthly cycle or a cheaper plan as alternatives.
  4. Click Cancel Now. Give a reason if asked, then click Cancel Now again to confirm.
  5. Cancel the domain and business email separately. Wix says cancelling the site plan does not cancel any domain, business email or app subscriptions.

Changed your mind? Before the expiration date, find the plan in Premium Subscriptions and click Turn On to restore auto-renewal.

Wix: canceling a Premium or Studio plan ↗

The domain and mailboxes keep billing until you cancel each one.

A domain bought from Wix renews on its own date, 30 days before its subscription period ends. To stop it, go to Premium Subscriptions, click the More Actions icon next to the domain, click Cancel domain, select Cancel auto renew and click Submit. You still own the domain until the end of the period, then it expires.

Google Workspace business email works the same way: click the More Actions icon next to it, click Cancel subscription, review the screen, pick a reason and click Cancel Now. You keep the mailboxes until the end of the billing period. After that you can no longer read, receive or send email from the account. Wix says the data is kept under Google’s retention policies and comes back if you repurchase within that period. Cancelling the email also cancels its add-ons on the day it expires. If you have several mailboxes, you can cancel only some of them.

If your email runs on the domain, keep both until your mail has moved. Cancelling the site plan alone leaves them running.

Wix: canceling your domain ↗

The site stays online, but on a free Wix address with Wix ads.

Cancelling does not delete the site or its content. When the plan ends, the site returns to the free version: your own domain stops pointing to it, the address reverts to siteprefix.wixsite.com/siteaddress, Wix ads appear, and storage and bandwidth drop to 500MB each. The site stays live at that address until you unpublish it. Hiding it from search engines only keeps it out of search results; it is still reachable.

Inside the 14-day window, this happens right away, because the plan is deactivated as soon as you cancel. To delete the site, cancel or unassign the plan first. Once auto-renewal is off and any outstanding charges are paid, Wix says you can close your account without waiting for the period to end.

Wix: requesting a refund for a Premium or Studio plan ↗

14 days on a new site plan. Nothing on renewals, domains or email.

Wix gives a full refund on a new Premium or Studio plan cancelled within 14 days of purchase, on monthly and yearly plans alike. The refund goes to the payment method you used and can take up to 45 business days. If you cancel within 72 hours, the charge may drop off instead of showing as a refund. Wix’s terms say a longer refund period applies where local law requires one.

Renewals get no refund. Upgrades of an existing plan are excluded on Wix’s refund page and in its terms, though the auto-renewal page sometimes lists upgrades as covered. Wix says domains and Google Workspace business email bought through Wix are non-refundable and have no 14-day period. If you are outside the rules but think you deserve a refund, Wix says to contact it and it will review the request. Wix is not responsible for bank charges or currency differences.

Please review a refund for the Wix [plan name] plan on [site name], charged [amount] on [charge date]. I turned off auto-renewal on [cancel date] and have not used the plan since the charge. Please confirm whether a refund is possible and the amount by email.

Huck lists every Wix charge and cancels the ones you name.

Huck finds Wix invoices in your Gmail and texts you each subscription, what it costs and when it renews, so the plan, the domain and business email don’t catch you after the site is gone. On a new plan, Huck flags the 14-day refund window while it is still open, and on a yearly plan it flags the payment that can land up to 3 weeks early.

When you say yes, Huck turns off auto-renewal in your Wix account or sends the refund review request from your Gmail, then checks the next invoice. You handle the sign-in. Wix decides any refund.

A few things
before you act.

How do I cancel my Wix subscription?

Go to Premium Subscriptions in your Wix account, click the More Actions icon next to the plan, click Cancel Plan, then Cancel Now. Cancel the domain and business email the same way on their own rows.

Can I cancel my Wix plan and get a refund?

Yes, if it is a new Premium or Studio plan and you cancel within 14 days of buying it. The plan ends at once and Wix refunds it in full, which can take up to 45 business days. Renewals get no refund.

How do I cancel a Wix Premium plan but keep it until it expires?

Cancel after the first 14 days. Cancelling then only turns off auto-renewal, and the plan stays active until its expiration date. Yearly plans can be charged up to 3 weeks before they expire, so cancel before that payment date.

How do I cancel a Wix domain?

In Premium Subscriptions, click the More Actions icon next to the domain, click Cancel domain, select Cancel auto renew and click Submit. You keep the domain until the period ends. Wix domains are non-refundable and renew 30 days before the period ends.

What happens to my Wix website if I cancel?

It is not deleted and stays online. It moves to a free wixsite.com address with Wix ads. Unpublish it if you want it offline. Hiding it from search still leaves it reachable at its address.
