Cancel Indeed for employers.
Stop both kinds of charges.

Indeed bills employers two ways: subscriptions like Smart Sourcing, and Sponsored Jobs charged by the click or started application. Cancelling one doesn’t stop the other. Huck finds your Indeed invoices in Gmail, tells you which charges are still running, and stops them when you say yes.

The short answer

To cancel a self-serve Indeed Smart Sourcing subscription, click Subscriptions in the top-right menu, choose the subscription, select Cancel subscription and confirm. It stays active until your next bill or end date. Sponsored Jobs bill separately, so also open the Jobs dashboard and set each sponsored job to Paused or Closed, which stops its spend. Indeed’s terms give no refund or credit for a partly used billing cycle, and any refund is at Indeed’s discretion, generally within four months of purchase.

Cancel Smart Sourcing from the Subscriptions menu.

Indeed’s help center gives the steps for self-serve Smart Sourcing plans. Your plan keeps running until your next bill or end date, and a yearly plan keeps getting its monthly contacts until it ends.

  1. Open Subscriptions. Click or tap Subscriptions in the menu at the top right of your employer account.
  2. Choose the subscription. Pick the Smart Sourcing plan you want to end.
  3. Select Cancel subscription. Then click No thanks, continue canceling to get past the offer.
  4. Save the confirmation. Keep it with your last invoice in case a renewal charge shows up later.

Indeed’s terms say pausing a subscription does not cancel it: it keeps renewing once it is unpaused.

Indeed: how to cancel your Smart Sourcing subscription ↗

The job leaves search. The applicants stay.

A paused or closed job disappears from job seekers’ search results and stops taking new applicants. Indeed says you can still view applicant details and message people who applied before you closed it.

A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the current billing period, then stops. Indeed’s terms say there is no refund or credit for the part of a cycle you didn’t use, so cancelling mid-cycle gains nothing over cancelling just before the renewal date, as long as you don’t miss it.

Indeed: close, pause or remove a job post ↗

No refund for a partly used cycle. Anything else is Indeed’s call.

Indeed’s Terms of Service, last updated September 29, 2026, say there are no refunds or credits for partially used billing cycles on a subscription. Future billing cycles you prepaid and didn’t use may get a prorated refund, decided by Indeed.

More generally, the terms say Indeed may offer refunds for its services only within four months of the purchase date, at its sole discretion. For resume subscription plans, payments are nonrefundable and any refund comes as credit for Indeed services.

Please review a refund for invoice [invoice number] on employer account [account email]. We cancelled [subscription name] on [date], and the invoice includes [prepaid future cycles / charges after the job was closed on date]. This is within four months of the purchase date. Please reply by email with the decision and the amount.

Huck catches the charges still running and stops them.

Huck finds Indeed invoices in your Gmail and texts you which ones are subscriptions and which are sponsored job spend, what each cost last month, and when the subscription renews. A sponsored job left open after you hired is the kind of charge it flags.

When you say yes, Huck cancels the subscription or pauses or closes the sponsored job in your Indeed account, or sends the refund request from your Gmail, then checks the next invoice. You handle the Indeed sign-in. Indeed decides any refund.

We find the money.
We do the chasing.

Huck finds the money slipping out of your business, shows you what each charge is worth, and does the chasing when you say so. Cancellations, refund requests and vendor negotiations follow through to a result you can check.
