Cancel paid Notion.
Check each workspace.

The short answer

A Notion workspace owner can cancel a directly billed paid plan by opening Settings → Billing → Change plan, selecting Free, continuing and confirming the downgrade. Keep the confirmation and current plan end date. Paid features remain until the billing cycle ends. Check each paid workspace separately, and use the original app store for a mobile-store subscription.

One login can have more than one bill.

Notion bills per member and per workspace. Open the workspace named on the invoice; only workspace owners can view and manage its plans and billing. Record the current plan, billed member count, billing interval and renewal date.

If the bill is higher because members were added, compare reducing paid seats with canceling the whole plan. Notion says ordinary member removals reduce the bill at the next billing cycle, without a mid-cycle prorated reduction. Have the owner review access and business records before removing anyone.

Check what your business needs before choosing Free.

Notion’s Free downgrade limits include 1,000 blocks for a workspace with two or more people, uploads of 5 MB or less per file and seven days of page version history. Existing automations become view-only; existing Custom Agents switch off. Other features and security settings can also change.

Ask your workspace owner to review the complete feature comparison against your business workflows. Decide which permitted records to preserve and how ongoing work will continue. Do not delete pages or remove colleagues simply to test whether billing stops.

Finish the downgrade and keep the end date.

For a plan billed directly by Notion, use desktop or web billing. Notion says annual and monthly plans renew automatically until canceled, and paid features remain available until the current billing cycle ends.

  1. Open the right workspace. Have its workspace owner open Settings, then Billing, then Change plan.
  2. Choose the Free plan. Review the available plan and downgrade information, then select Continue.
  3. Finish the confirmation. Provide the requested feedback and select Downgrade. Keep the confirmation showing when the current plan ends.
  4. Check the other workspaces. Repeat the review for any other separately billed workspace you intend to stop paying for. One downgrade does not cancel them all.

Request a refund separately if the purchase qualifies.

Notion’s refund guidance says it can process refunds in most cases when contacted within three days of the invoice date for monthly billing, or 30 days for annual billing. This is not a promise that every charge qualifies. Requests must come from the workspace owner’s email or billing email on file.

Apple App Store purchases go to Apple for cancellation and refunds. For online or Google Pay purchases, Notion directs refund requests to Notion. Mobile-store subscriptions are managed through the store that sold them. Check your receipt to identify the seller; Google Pay checkout and a Google Play subscription are different routes.

Please review invoice [number], issued [date], for workspace [name]. I am the workspace owner or billing contact. We requested a downgrade on [date] and the confirmation shows paid access ending [date]. Please confirm whether this purchase qualifies for a refund and the amount and method, if approved.
Notion refund policy ↗

Keep cancellation and refund outcomes separate.

Keep the invoice, workspace name, downgrade confirmation and paid-access end date together. If another charge arrives, check its workspace and service period before treating it as an error. Ask billing to explain any mismatch in writing.

A support reply promising a refund is still pending. Keep the approval, then check that the refund appears through the original payment route. A downgrade confirmation, a refund approval and money returned are different records.

We find the charge and chase the billing result.

Huck finds Notion invoices and renewal notices in Gmail, puts the documented charge and proposed fix together, and follows through on an approved cancellation or billing request where the account permits. Huck pursues the confirmation and any eligible refund request, then checks later billing evidence.

Your workspace owner chooses the plan and protects the pages, workflows and access your business needs. You complete required sign-in and owner-only steps. Refund requests use the eligible owner or billing identity, and Notion decides eligibility.

We find the money.
We do the chasing.

Huck finds the money slipping out of your business, shows you what each charge is worth, and does the chasing when you say so. Cancellations, refund requests and vendor negotiations follow through to a result you can check.

Huck cancels, requests the refund or works the vendor’s chat, then follows up until the request is settled. Huck checks your bill for the lower charge, credit or refund and texts you the result.

A few things
before you act.

Does canceling Notion delete my account?

A paid-plan downgrade and deleting your account are different actions. Use workspace billing to stop the paid plan, and review the feature limits before confirming.

Will my paid features stop immediately?

Notion says you keep paid features until the end of the current billing cycle. Check the plan end date in your downgrade confirmation.

Will canceling one workspace stop every Notion charge?

No. Each paid workspace is billed separately, even when you use the same login. Match each invoice to its workspace.

Can a normal workspace member cancel the plan?

Notion says only workspace owners can view and manage plans and billing. Ask the owner to handle the required billing controls.

Do I automatically get a refund?

No automatic refund is established by a downgrade. Check the invoice date, seller and current policy, and request a review using the owner or billing email.
