Cancel Zapier.
Check your Zaps first.
Zapier has no cancel button, keeps billing extra tasks from your last cycle, and refunds nothing once a charge goes through. Huck finds your Zapier receipts in Gmail, tells you what you pay and when the plan renews, and makes the change when you say yes.
Connect Gmail to get started. You approve each money action.
To cancel Zapier, the account owner goes to the Billing and usage page, clicks Manage and selects the Free plan, since Zapier has no separate cancel button. The paid plan keeps working until the end of the current monthly or annual billing cycle, then the account becomes a free account with 100 tasks a month and Zaps limited to one trigger and one action. Zapier says all purchases are non-refundable, including monthly and annual plans, renewals and add-ons. Its terms say an email, chat or phone request to cancel, or blocking the card, does not cancel the plan. Add-ons cancel separately, and pay-per-task usage from the last cycle can still be billed after you cancel.

Cancelling means picking the Free plan.
Zapier has no separate Cancel button. You cancel a paid plan by moving the account to the Free plan, and you keep your paid features until the end of the current billing cycle. After that you get no new plan charges, though pay-per-task usage from that cycle can still be billed.
- Go to the Billing and usage page. Sign in to the account that holds the subscription. On Team plans only the account owner can change the plan; on Enterprise, the owner and super admins can.
- Click Manage. This opens the plan options for the account.
- Select Zapier’s Free plan. The change takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, not right away.
- Check for a pending change. For downgrades, Zapier says the change is booked only once checkout is finished, and a banner at the top of Billing and usage then shows the date the plan changes. No banner means it was not confirmed.
- Cancel add-ons separately. Cancelling the plan does not touch add-ons. For each one, click Manage beside the add-on, select its Free plan, click Checkout, then Update account.
To pay less without leaving, downgrade and finish checkout.
Moving to a lower paid tier also takes effect at the end of the monthly or annual billing cycle. Before you pick one, check task usage: lower tiers include fewer tasks a month, and if your Zaps use more, runs may be held until the next billing cycle.
- Open Billing and usage and click Manage. Only the account owner can do this on Team; the owner or a super admin on Enterprise.
- Select the lower-tier plan and monthly or annual billing. Zapier says annual billing is 33% cheaper than monthly, and switching from annual to monthly loses that discount.
- Select a payment method and complete checkout. Zapier says selecting a plan alone does not schedule the downgrade. It is only booked when you finish checkout.
- Confirm the banner. Billing and usage shows a banner with the date the plan changes. If you change your mind, click Cancel downgrade on that banner before the cycle ends.
Only a trial with a card on file can turn into a charge.
New accounts start a 14-day trial with no payment method. If you never added a card, there is nothing to cancel: the account moves to the Free plan on its own when the trial ends.
A 7-day re-trial, or any trial where you added a card, upgrades to a paid plan automatically at the end unless you opt out, and Zapier says charges after a trial ends are not refunded.
- Open the Billing and Usage page before the trial ends. Find the Trial settings section.
- Choose Downgrade to the Free plan. The default is Start your paid plan. Once the trial ends, the account follows the option you picked.
- On a Team trial, use the banner. Click Edit trial payment settings in the banner at the top of your account, then select a different plan on Billing and Usage.
- Want the stored card removed? Zapier says to contact Zapier Support to remove a payment method.
Deleting the account is separate and permanent.
You don’t need to delete the account to stop paying. Deleting it removes all Zap workflows, developer apps and app connections you created, can’t be undone, and works only on a desktop or laptop. If you own a Team or Enterprise account, deleting yours deletes the whole team account, so transfer ownership first.
- Export anything you want to keep. In Settings, Security and data, Data management, use Download my account data, then Export my data. Zapier emails a .ZIP with your Zaps and run history.
- Open Settings, then Security and data. Click your profile icon at top right, select Settings, then Security and data in the left sidebar.
- Select Delete my account and confirm it’s you. Click Confirm it’s you and sign in again.
- Click Delete my account, enter your email, then type DELETE. Click Delete permanently. Zapier says full deletion can take up to 2 days.
- Zapier: export or delete your Zapier account data
- Zapier: transfer ownership of a Team or Enterprise account
On Team and Enterprise, the owner holds the keys.
Only the account owner can change a Team plan. On Enterprise, the account owner and any super admins can. Invoicing is offered only on Enterprise, and if you bought through a Zapier order form, Zapier’s terms say your subscription term is the one on that order form.
Pay-per-task billing keeps Zaps running past your task limit and bills the extra tasks, up to 3 times the plan’s task limit. The owner turns it off under Billing and usage, Billing settings, Per-task billing. On Enterprise accounts created after June 2025, Zapier says to contact your account manager to turn it off.
Zapier: how pay-per-task billing works ↗Multi-step Zaps turn off on the Free plan.
When a paid plan ends, the account stays active as a Free account. Zaps with more than one action step are turned off, premium apps stop working in Zaps, and runs that use a premium app or more than one action are held. You also lose AI Fields and enrichments in Zapier Tables and the ability to restrict access to forms. The Free plan includes 100 tasks a month, 2,500 table records and 10 form pages for a single user.
Data over a lower plan’s limits is kept, but you can’t add more until you are under the limit. Moving from Team or Enterprise to Pro or Free removes team features such as app access settings, the owner keeps the shared folders, and shared app connections are disconnected, so add a private connection to any Zap that should keep running. Held runs that used premium apps can be replayed if you upgrade again.
Zapier: what happens when you downgrade ↗Zapier treats every charge as final.
Zapier’s refund policy says all purchases are non-refundable, including monthly and annual plans, upgrades, renewals and add-ons, and once a charge is processed it will not be refunded. App outages or missing features are also typically not refunded. Cancelling stops future charges, and the plan stays active to the end of the cycle you paid for.
Zapier’s Terms of Service, effective April 9, 2026, say fees paid are non-refundable except as the terms state or the law requires, and that a subscription renews automatically for the same term unless you downgrade or cancel before the renewal date. The terms name two refund cases: a prorated refund if Zapier ends your account without cause, or if Zapier fails to fix a service problem you reported in writing within 10 days. Cancelling an add-on gives a prorated account credit, not a refund.
Zapier: refund policy ↗Huck catches the renewal and makes the switch.
Huck finds Zapier receipts and renewal notices in your Gmail and texts you what you pay, which plan and add-ons that covers, and when it renews, so the change is made before the next charge rather than after it.
When you say yes, Huck cancels or downgrades in Zapier’s Billing and usage page, including add-ons, and checks that the pending-change banner shows. Then it checks the next bill for the lower charge or any leftover pay-per-task usage. You handle the Zapier sign-in. If a charge looks wrong, Huck drafts the request to Zapier Support for your yes. Zapier decides any refund, and its policy says charges are final.

A few things
before you act.
How do I cancel my Zapier subscription?

How do I cancel my Zapier plan?
Select a lower plan or the Free plan from Manage on the Billing and usage page and finish checkout. A banner on that page shows the date the plan changes. No banner means the change was not confirmed.
How do I cancel a Zapier free trial?

How do I cancel my Zapier account?
Cancelling the plan keeps the account as a Free account. Zapier says an email, chat or phone request does not cancel a paid plan, so make the change in Billing and usage. Deleting the account is a separate step.
How do I delete my Zapier account?
On a computer, go to Settings, Security and data, Delete my account, sign in again, enter your email and type DELETE. It removes every Zap and connection and can’t be undone. Team and Enterprise owners should transfer ownership first.
