The Ooma Office Terms and Conditions, last updated June 26, 2026, say termination requests go to Ooma’s Customer Care Department, count as given after a minimum processing period of 5 business days, and take effect at the end of the current billing period, such as the end of the month on month-to-month service, or at the end of a minimum term. You stay liable for taxes and fees until then. Ooma’s contact page lists Ooma Business Services at 1-866-939-6662, open 24/7.

- Start porting your numbers with the new provider. Don’t cancel until the port is finished. Ooma’s voice terms say to allow up to 21 days.
- Check whether you signed a Sales Quote with a term. If you did, find the term end date and any Early Termination Fee before you call.

- Return rented or refundable equipment. Ask Customer Care for a return authorization and ship within 14 days.

Ooma’s terms say your phone number may be reassigned after termination, and that trying to transfer a number without Ooma’s consent or without paying the applicable fee can cost up to $500. Ooma’s voice and messaging terms say porting out after termination needs at least 30 days’ notice, the new carrier’s paperwork and any porting fee, and that you should not cancel the old service until the port completes, which can take up to 21 days.
The simple order: sign up with the new provider, request the port there, wait for it to finish, then cancel Ooma.

Ooma Office is month-to-month unless you signed a Sales Quote with a fixed or minimum term. On a fixed term, Ooma’s terms let you cut extensions or cancel within the first 30 days without penalty. After that, leaving early brings an Early Termination Fee equal to all the fees that would have been due for the rest of the term, and the terms ask for 10 days’ written notice.
A fixed term renews automatically for another term of the same length unless you give written notice no later than 90 days before it ends. Put that date on the calendar the day you sign.

Ooma offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on Ooma Office and Ooma Office for Mobile. If you bought directly from Ooma, repack the equipment in its original packaging and contact Customer Care. Ooma says it can’t refund the first month of service or shipping costs. If you bought from a reseller such as Costco, Best Buy or Amazon, cancel with Ooma first and then return the equipment to the store; Ooma warns that returning the hardware without calling can leave charges on the account.
The terms set the equipment rules: cancel within 30 days, get a return authorization number, and send the equipment back within 14 days with proof of purchase, paying the shipping. Rented equipment returned within 12 months of starting the rental costs $50 a device on accounts active 30 days or more, and Ooma’s rental page lists restocking fees from $29.99 to $399.99 a device if it isn’t returned within 14 days.
