How do I cancel Homebase,
and do I get a refund?

Homebase lets you cancel a paid plan yourself in Plan & billing, and it ends at the close of your billing period. Huck finds your Homebase bills in Gmail, texts what you pay and when it renews, and drafts what you need on your yes.

The short answer

To cancel a paid Homebase plan, go to Plan & billing, click Manage next to the plan for the location, and continue through the downgrade to Basic; to close the account, choose Billing, then Delete Company. Homebase’s Customer Agreement says the subscription renews each billing period unless you cancel before it ends, cancellation takes effect at the end of that period, and fees are non-refundable and not prorated except where law or service-specific terms say otherwise. Homebase’s Help Center (July 10, 2026) says monthly and annual plans can be cancelled for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, and gives no refund after that. The agreement states a 15-day window to export your data after a termination notice.

Cancel the plan in Plan & billing, or delete the company.

Homebase’s Help Center says you can manage or cancel your plan from your account. Downgrading a location to Basic stops the paid plan; Delete Company closes the account. Multi-location accounts need the Essentials plan or higher for every active location, and a downgraded location is not accessible until a new plan is added.

  1. Check how you are billed. In Plan & billing, Homebase shows whether the charge is direct, through a POS or payroll partner, or through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. Download your records. Timesheets, schedules, reports and your team roster, before any change.
  3. To drop a paid plan, go to Plan & billing and click Manage next to the plan. Continue through the downgrade process. Access to the plan continues until the end of the billing cycle.
  4. To close the account, select your profile icon, then Billing, then Delete Company. Select a reason and click Delete Company again to finalize.
  5. Cancel add-ons separately. Under Plan & billing, scroll to Add-ons and click Manage and Cancel.

Closing the account ends the free features too.

Homebase’s Help Center says closing an account loses access to all paid features, all free features and most account data. Downgrading to Basic keeps the free plan instead, but a downgraded location on a multi-location account is not accessible until a plan is added.

After the 15-day export window closes, the agreement says Homebase has no further obligation to return your data, and you remain responsible for keeping the payroll, wage-and-hour, tax and scheduling records the law requires. Download timesheets, schedules, reports and the team roster first.

Huck finds the bill and the renewal date, and drafts what you need on your yes.

Huck finds Homebase invoices in your Gmail, texts you what you pay, which add-ons are on the bill and when the next period renews, so you cancel before it does. You decide.

With your yes, Huck drafts a cancellation note, and later checks your statements for a charge after the end date. You sign in and click Manage or Delete Company yourself, and anything sent by post is yours to send. Homebase decides any refund; Huck does not promise one.
