The short answer

To cancel ActiveCampaign, log in and follow the cancellation instructions on your account dashboard, or email info@activecampaign.com from the designated account owner or an authorized signatory. ActiveCampaign’s Terms of Service, last updated October 19, 2026, say cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current subscription period, that you owe all fees through the cancellation date, and that inactivity does not cancel the account. The terms say that after cancellation or termination you will not have access to or be able to restore any Contact Data. ActiveCampaign’s help center article on cancelling could not be read on November 7, 2026, so this page covers the terms only.

Cancel from your account dashboard, or email ActiveCampaign.

The terms give two routes: follow the cancellation instructions on your account dashboard, or contact info@activecampaign.com. They do not list the menu clicks, and the help center article that does could not be read.

  1. Check who can send the notice. The terms require the designated account owner or an authorized signatory.
  2. Export your contacts, automations and reports. The terms say you cannot access or restore Contact Data after cancellation.
  3. Log in and follow the cancellation instructions on your account dashboard. This is the first route the terms name. Screenshot the confirmation.
  4. Or email info@activecampaign.com from the owner’s address. Say which account and ask for the end date in writing.
  5. Note what the terms say about a pause. ActiveCampaign says it may offer to pause your subscription instead. The account stays active and it keeps your data during the pause.
  6. Check your next card statement. The terms say inactivity does not cancel, so a charge after the end of the period is worth raising with ActiveCampaign.
